Tony Graffanino of the Royals (wanted this guy when he was a free agent two years ago) was traded to the Red Sox for two minor leaguers – Chip Ambres (AAA CF) and Juan Cedeno (A SP).
I like these moves. Graffanino should move into Embree’s vacated spot, bringing us to 11 pitchers. It also moves closer to a possible Bill Mueller or Kevin Millar trade to the Twins for JC Romero.

But a comment was just left by Andrew that I want to make a point of, because it makes so much sense.
This has got to be a precursor for something else… there have been rumors flying toay about a Mueller for JC Romero swap which may be next and Gammons is reporting that the O’s might be out ofthe Bunett sweepstakes due to an unwillingness to take on Lowell. For us, though… themoney is less f an issue, and Lowell would slot in at 3B if Mueller’s dealt. I bet we see Youk start at 3rd tonight, and an announcement follows the game on Mueller.
