A New Look And A New Home For North Texas Fisticuffs

I have to admit that as I sit here and type these words, the excitement coursing through my veins is making the act of stringing together coherent sentences extremely difficult.  In case you haven’t noticed, North Texas Fisticuffs, our little blog, has gotten itself a little makeover.  Ok, that may be a bit of an understatement.  A more accurate assessment would be that that our old site was like an AMC Pacer, and this new site is more in line with a Lamborghini Murcielago.

North Texas Fisticuffs now has the honor of being one of the newest blogs to join the Bloguin blog network.  Special mention, and thanks, has to go out to the great group of people here at Bloguin for bringing our little site into their fold, and giving the site a pretty damn impressive overhaul.  While we took great pride in the previous two incarnations of our former site (Blogger, and then Squarespace), you have to admit that the new site looks pretty f’ing awesome.

For those who may not be familiar with North Texas Fisticuffs, this blog is dedicated to covering the surging combative sports scenes here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.  In just over a year of existence, our humble blog has become must-visit destination for those looking to get their fix of local boxing and mixed martial arts coverage.  We truly appreciate all the visitors to our site who make doing this worthwhile.

So what does this move to Bloguin mean for North Texas Fisticuffs?  Nothing, other than your daily dose of wicked awesome fight news, fighter coverage, and fighter profiles.  While our focus has always been, and always will be on the fights and fighter toiling away in the Northern region of the Lone Star State, with an expanded site come expanded coverage.  In addition to profiling the local fighters who toil away in inarguably the two hardest sports in the world, boxing and mixed martial arts, going forward we will take on a more comprehensive approach to the fight scenes the world over.

With all that being said, allow me to welcome all the new visitors to our beloved little site, and to all our long-time visitors, welcome back!
