Oh. My. This is going to get ugly isn't it?
If you thought the whole Alex Rodriguez conversation was going to end once the three-time MVP was suspended 162 games by Major League Baseball…you were wrong. And, frankly, pretty naive.
Anyway. We haven't heard from Rodriguez (yet), but his lawyer Joe Tacopina is all over the place defending the New York Yankees slugger and bashing Tony Bosch, the man behind the whole Biogenesis ordeal.
Sunday, Tacopina was on "60 Minutes" trying to discredit Bosch's claims that he provided (and injected) Rodriguez with banned substances. A day later, he was on ESPN Radio, telling Colin Cowherd he won't name names of other offenders…but, of course, that didn't stop him from dropping some hints.
Joe Tacopina told @ESPN_Colin he did not want to name other players accused of PED use, "but some of them are God-like in Boston right now."

Oh, boy…I wonder who he's talking about. David Ortiz anyone?
You'll remember that, back in 2009, the New York Times reported that the Boston Red Sox designated hitted had tested positive for an unnamed substance during a 2003 survey test. Of course, nothing more has come from that report, but given that some of the others mentioned have gone on to serve PED-related suspensions, the whole "where there's smoke, there's fire" adage has got to make you wonder.
But what do you make of Rodriguez's lawyer's attempt to throw another superstar under the proverbial bus? Is Tacopina just talking junk or is he trying to shift the focus off his superstar client?
