If that post below was too negative for you, let’s counter it with my post for Pittsburgh Magazine’s blog today about why I’m still going to watch the Pirates even though they’re out of contention (and I refuse to admit that I may have Stockholm Syndrome). I will note that I wrote this before the Padres series, which was just plain awful.
There are things that are important to watch right now, but the unstated question here, of course, deals with the odds of those good things actually happening. That’s a question for another day, but the longer I think on it, the less I like the answers that I’m coming up with.
