Some of the AAC Football Fever staff members have been hand selected to give their weekly picks for each American Athletic Conference game.
Blake Lovell, Mitch Wilcox, Jay Saunders, John Nestor, Zach Rastall, Al Burke, and Michael Compton will test their knowledge by contesting me each and every week for bragging rights (and maybe a gratifying pat on the back) at the end of the season.
Can you say 7-3?
The American finished Week 4 with a 70.0 winning percentage (including one in-conference matchup between UConn and USF), which just so happened to be the conference’s first above-.500 week for the 2014 season. Although 1-2 against the Power 5, East Carolina’s 70-41 was must-see TV, and Memphis notched a solid win over a tough Middle Tennessee team.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this weekend will be as kind to the AAC. Not even close.
