Abe Asher’s College Football Picks – Week Eleven

piebondsearring

We are now at week eleven of the college football season. The season is winding down. There are six games between top 25 teams this week, so grab your popcorn. We’re getting right down to it now.

I went 10-4 last week, bringing my season total up to 92-35. Here are the picks.

Oklahoma 41, Baylor 34 – The Big XII is a riot this year. Oklahoma has two losses by a combined five points at the hands of two top-ten teams, and they’re an also-ran.

Georgia 34, Kentucky 10 – Was Georgia’s blowout loss at the hands of Florida last weekend the most surprising result of the season?

Auburn 48, Texas A&M 14 – I love what A&M did last week – they were headed for a full-blown quarterback controversy, so they just suspended one of the quarterbacks. Problem solved.

Notre Dame 24, Arizona State 20 – Sorry, I just can’t get over the fact that UCLA hung 62 on the Sun Devils this year.

West Virginia 34, Texas 10 – Really enjoyed reading this piece this week. I remember the dignity with which Bradley finished out that season as the interim head coach.

UCLA 23, Washington 17 – When you see them in person, you realize that the Huskies have an offense that is about as limited as the one they run at Franklin High School.

TCU 34, Kansas State 28 – Revered Kansas State coach and jacket-wearing rebel Bill Snyder recorded a commercial for Republican Senator Pat Roberts without any permission from the university last week. TCU wins.

LSU 21, Alabama 20 – I freaking love Les Miles, and any LSU fan that wants to get rid of him should be smacked upside the head with a catfish.

Michigan State 31, Ohio State 20 – Imagine if Ohio State hadn’t managed to capitulate into a home loss against dreadful Virginia Tech – they’d be the undefeated, #3 team in the nation. Too bad.

Oregon 38, Utah 14 – It’s a race to twenty points, so this matchup doesn’t look real good for the Utes.
