Another tip to Coltzilla, the Manning camp is underway

The Mannings live like the campers, staying in the same dorms and eating in the cafeteria.

Eli said the practical jokes may have subsided over the years, but the laughter and joking have not stopped. It also gives them a chance to reminiscence about the good old days.

“At night, we have some breaks and we get to catch up on old times,” Eli said. “We are in tight quarters and we can’t really away from each other in these four days, but it’s something we enjoy. We look forward to this time together every year.”

Peyton and Eli see each other infrequently because of the demands of their jobs.

“It’s one of the four times that we are together during the year,” Peyton said. “Once Aug. 1 gets here, I probably won’t see Eli again until the end of the season. My dad and Cooper get to come to about two or three home games a year, and even then, you only get to see them on Sunday night and it’s rushed.”
