UNITED CENTER, CHICAGO, IL — As we detailed in our second half recap of the Golden State Warriors‘ 125-94 romp of the Chicago Bulls, in the third quarter, Nikola Mirotic took a corner three, missed, Stephen Curry boxed out Doug McDermott, whose tip-in drew iron, and the loose ball was pounced on by Festus Ezeli, but he couldn’t quite corral it.
There was a scrum and, somehow, Harrison Barnes got back in the mix for one of his two defensive rebounds, then caught Leandro Barbosa running a fly pattern down the left sideline.
Barnes tossed it ahead to Barbosa, whose nickname is “The Blur”, but made him chase it a bit.
“LB’s one of the fastest people I know. I knew if I could lead him, he’ll get it,” Barnes told LetsGoWarriors after the game. “I threw it out there and I said, ‘He’ll go get that ball.'”
By the time Barbosa tracked it in, he was in full stride and under-handed a lob to the streaking Andre Iguodala for the thunderous jam:

Barbosa ran so fast on that play, he apparently did not even see Iguodala convert the alley-oop.
“I didn’t see how it ended, but I knew if I would have thrown it, he would have caught it,” Barbosa told Warriors beatwriter Diamond Leung.
The Blur’s super-powers seem to remain a mystery. Not even Barnes knows where Barbosa, 33, gets his mojo.
“Man, I don’t even know,” said Barnes. “He’s quick as heck.”
One thing’s clear, though. The Blur’s powers are probably not drawn from the same source as Plastic Man.
“I would tell him all the time,” Barnes revealed, “if he would just start stretching every day, he would be faster than he already is.”
