Adam Cracknell’s second run with the St. Louis Blues didn’t last very long. Cracknell has signed a one-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks worth a reported $575,000.

Cracknell was most recently acquired by the Blues in a trade back in February with the Columbus Blue Jackets, switching him from the AHL’s Springfield Falcons to the Chicago Wolves in exchange for future considerations. Cracknell skated in 22 games with the Blues’ affiliate and then the team elected to pass on signing him to a new contract.
Cracknell will once again attempt to crack an NHL roster. He continually bounced around from the AHL to the NHL with the Blues and that trend continued with the Blue Jackets. Though the fancy stats crowd won’t enjoy this statement, he plays with a lot of heart and is always giving it his all out on the ice. He’s a player you can’t help but root for, but his career path hasn’t led to consistent time in the NHL.
