Adam Dunn Would Be a Good Fit in Boston

With Ortiz possibly leaving after 2011 season and V-Mart signing with the Tigers, the Red Sox can afford to sign a player they may have to use as a DH in the final years of his contract.  Adam Dunn is looking for a four-year deal and he would likely have to spend the last two years of that deal as a DH.  He is not a great defensive player at first, but he is good enough when you consider him putting up 40 homers.  Youk can move back to third for a couple of years. The Red Sox could likely land him with a three-year deal plus an option and they have the money to pay him. Beltre has to be the first choice for Theo at this point but Dunn is a nice fall back.
