Prior to their 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles Saturday, the Chicago White Sox honored members of the military by stationing them on the field with the home team.
Among the uniformed that made their way to the field was Air Force captain Zachary Eaton who is, you guessed it, the older brother of White Sox center fielder.
So blessed to be able to play this great game. Thank you to all who protect and serve. @ZackEaton you're my hero. pic.twitter.com/wlXxZsdiSs

“That was a little shocking when I first came out. I knew he was going to be here, but for him being in uniform like that, it kind of brought a tear to my eye. It was something special for me,” the younger Eaton said. “I’m proud of him and his accomplishments, and I’m just very proud of him.”
Zachary Eaton is currently stationed in Nebraska as the head of the University of Nebraska’s Air Force ROTC.
“I grew up in a military family, and you realize the sacrifices that the family and individuals alike go through and you know we are blessed to play this great game every day and you know he helps defend the country,” Eaton continued. “For him to be here on this day and kind of stand in the same spot that I’m blessed enough to stand in and have a conversation with him, it was special.”
Pretty cool.
