Fighting has seemed to be a dying art in the NHL and it still is. But tonight a little hope was sprouted when Bruins Defenceman Adam McQuaid dropped the gloves with Nashville Predators Forward Derek Grant.
This time the officials would not break up the fight and they would let them go and it was as Bruins Play-by-Play announcer Jack Edwards said “a five-star fight”. McQuaid dominated the whole fight only taking minimal punches before McQuaid landed a killer uppercut that sent Grant to the ice and then the locker room.
Grant did not return to the game with an upper body (head) injury.
