Admit it, Jimmy Butler: You Tried, But You Failed

I respect a player who is advocating for himself, knowing that he could win or lose the battle, depending on his next moves.

But let’s face it: you’re returning to this roster—and you’ll be wearing a Timberwolves uniform.

You’ll have to wait until later this season to find out your fate with this team.

Which….when you think about it…is no biggie.

I mean, think about it: so you didn’t get traded to the team you wanted to be traded to—ehem, the Heat. Thibs and company tried, and nothing materialized.

Fine.

Honestly, this isn’t the time to pout anymore. This should, really, be the time to focus yourself, physically and mentally, on the regular season.

I’m (pretty!) sure you’re doing just that, showing the team that you’re the face of this franchise (for now, at least).
