Paxton Lynch is considered by many, to be the consensus No. 1 overall quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft- should he chose to forgo his senior season.

The other QB in the running for the top spot is California’s Jared Goff, and the kid went out with a bang at the Armed Forces Bowl, firing for 6 touchdown passes.

Now Paxton Lynch is up, and all eyes are on him.

Those of the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys in particular, who could be eyeing the Memphis QB in April’s Draft.

He’s got all the tools and makeup of what you think of when you say “franchise QB”, and in Wednesday’s Birmingham Bowl game against Auburn, he’s got a chance, like Goff, to go out by making a major statement to close out his collegiate career.

Lynch has put a solid Junior season, firing 28 touchdown passes to just three interceptions, including a 7-touchdown performance against SMU.
