Ring! Akosa Maduegbunam is a Lion

Pat Chambers has received his first commitment as the Nittany Lions Basketball head coach from Charlestown, MA product Akosa Maduegbunam.  At 6’3″ and 185 lbs, Maduegbunam is ranked the 95th best small forward in the nation by ESPN, and has been awarded 2* by the website.

Akosa Maduegbunam is a bit short for a forward, but possesses an excellent build at 185 lbs and can use that to become a physical force for the Lions in the future.  And although many Penn State fans would like to see Chambers recruit the Philadelphia area, it’s hard to get upset with his first commitment.  Let’s hope that this gets the ball rolling for Nittany Lion Basketball on the recruiting trail.  If so, Pat Chambers has a chance to actually build a successful program in Happy Valley.
