The Alabama Crimson Tide (5-1), who rank No. 7 in the most recent AP Poll, will seek out their third SEC win when they host the slumping Texas A&M Aggies (5-2), who rank 21st. Alabama struggled last weekend, but rallied to secure a close 14-13 victory at Arkansas. Quarterback Blake Sims, who completed just eleven passes, threw the game winning touchdown pass to DeAndrew White with 12:53 remaining in the fourth quarter. Alabama’s defense limited Arkansas’s explosive rushing attack to just 89 yards. Arkansas’s quarterback, Brandon Allen, found some success through the air by throwing for 246 yards. Alabama must tighten its pass defense if it wants to stop Texas A&M’s explosive offense. While this week’s matchup against Texas A&M isn’t commanding premium ticket prices, fans must still pay average prices to witness this match-up.

According to TiqIQ, the average secondary market price for Alabama vs Texas A&M football tickets is currently $160.24 on the secondary market while the get-in price for the game is $69. The season average for Alabama football tickets $170, which is the 9th highest price on TiqIQ’s Top 25 price list. Surprisingly, this game will be 6% below the average game on the Alabama football schedule.

Texas A&M has lost two straight games to SEC West opponents. Last weekend, Texas A&M was routed 35-20 by the Mississippi Rebels in College Station. Texas A&M committed three turnovers, two of which were returned for touchdowns by Mississippi’s defense. Quarterback Kenny Hill threw for 401 yards and two touchdowns, but his two interceptions changed the complexion of the game.

On top of modest secondary market ticket prices, Texas A&M will look to avenge last year’s 49-42 defeat. Three of the top performances from last year’s game (AJ McCarron, Johnny Manziel, and Mike Evans) were drafted, so a lot of new faces will renew this budding rivalry. Expect a big effort from Alabama as they look to silence the critics.
