You are a Georgia Bulldogs fan, your team just got ran over by the Boise State Broncos. What else could go wrong? How bout you lose a sophomore ILB that was on the edge of bursting into stardem. Well that’s what was announced today on Mark Richt’s weekly Conference Call. Richt announced that Ogletree would be out 4-6 weeks with a fifth metatarsal injury (broken foot). It was also stated that Ogletree stayed on the field for a couple of plays with the injury. Tough kid. While Ogletree was on the field the Dawgs were able to handle the Boise State offense. After he left, not so much. Now was that strictly Ogletree or also a combination of Boise playing a fast-paced offense and then game-planning during half-time. Probably a little bit of both. With Ogletree on the field you get a fast athlete who has the ability to be a game-changer. Without him, Georgia will rely on Senior walk-on Jeremy Sulek (who did OK all things considered as Ogletree’s replacement against Boise), junior Mike Gilliard (who actually backs up Christian Robinson) or true freshman Amarlo Herrera. Georgia will also get Safety Bacarri Rambo back this week as he was serving a one-game suspension against Boise State. This is a very important game to Georgia and to Mark Richt. Losing Alec Ogletree is not the way Georgia wanted to start this week.
