The Tampa Bay Lightning and Sun Sports have jointly announced the team’s broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2014-14 season. Sun Sports will handle the bulk of the regular season contests, showing showing 77 games on their network.
Sun Sports’ first broadcast will be the Bolts’ home opener against the Florida Panthers on October 9th. Coverage will start at 6:30 pm with a one hour edition of their pregame show. Lightning LIVE will remain as Sun Sports’ pregame and extended postgame shows for all home and away games.
Rick Peckham and Bobby “The Chief” Taylor will return to handle the play-by-play and cover analysis respectively. Lightning LIVE host Paul Kennedy will be joined by Dave Andreychuk and Chris Dingman for pregame, intermission, and postgame segments. The five games not being shown on Sun Sports will be broadcast by the NBC Sports Network.
