Alston signs in Tampa Bay

Oakland Raiders unrestricted free agent linebacker/special teams ace Jon Alston has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Alston missed the end of the 2009 season after sustaining multiple concussions had been deemed expendable. During his three years in Oakland, Alston made more of an impression on special teams than anywhere else. He started a few games at strong side linebacker after injuries to Ricky Brown in 2008 and 2009.
