Ealier today we made you aware of comments made by Ohio State president Gordon Gee, comments that stated UW AD Barry Alvarez thought the now ex-head coach (again, we are refraining from using said coaches name here – it's about moving on folks) was a "thug."
Well, we got some quick clarification in the form of a statement from Alvarez himself:
“Gordon Gee called me to apologize last week regarding comments he knew would be made public. I have never said that about Bret, nor had those feelings towards him. I accepted Gordon’s apology and consider the matter closed.”
So, that should put this sucker to bed? Of course those in the dark recesses of the twitterverse and message boards probably won't let it die, but I'd say this just about closes the book for us.
