Andray Blatche returns from personal leave for Nets-Cavaliers tilt this evening
Blatche last played in the Nets' Christmas Day loss against the Chicago Bulls, in which he went 1-for-11 from the field

Somewhat cryptically, after they got destroyed by the Chicago Bulls at Barclays on Christmas, the Brooklyn Nets announced that forward/center Andray Blatche wouldn't play in the team's home win against the Bucks on December 27th or travel with it to Indiana, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City on the Nets' 2013-ending road trip. The official statement blamed "personal reasons" for Blatche's prolonged absence, but those exact "reasons" were never divulged.

Now, Andray is set to finally return tonight from his mysterious off-time as the Nets start a four-game homestand with a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. No reason was given as to why he missed four games, in which the Nets went 2-2, and no reason was given as to why he's returning tonight. It's nice to have him back though, because the Cavs' frontcourt of Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson is intimidating, and buried the Nets when these two teams met for their season openers on October 30th (CLE won 98-94).

The Nets could really use Blatche's size off the bench or possibly in the starting lineup tonight to compensate for Brook Lopez' injury absence. Normally, Brook and KG would be able to handle Varejao and Thompson by themselves, but with Brook out, KG needs another center-like player to help out. Hopefully 'Dray can be that guy.
