GAME 11 – A’S AT ANGELS
ANAHEIM – Angels starter Jarrod Washburn gave up five early runs and the Angels’ offense again was silent after a two-run first inning in the Oakland A’s 7-2 victory over the Angels Saturday night before 33,554 at Edison Field.
The loss was the Angels’ sixth in a row, dropping them 5½ games behind the A.L. West-leading Seattle Mariners only two weeks into the season.
Garret Anderson’s two-run homer off A’s starter Erik Hiljus gave the Angels a 2-0 first-inning lead, but it was all downhill from there. The Angels had only four hits all night, none after the sixth inning.
