The June 2nd, 2015 edition of Los Angeles Angels news including Angels add Ibarra to bullpen, Trout still trails in All-Star voting and much more…

The Story: The Angels added Edgar Ibarra to the roster and sent down Alfredo Marte.
The Monkey Says: The Angels needed another arm, but Ibarra was a curious choice as a third lefty in the pen. He has been lights out for Salt Lake, so he deserved the call-up, I just question the fit. It also meant clearing another spot on the 40-man roster which is why Gary Brown was designated for assignment, though he will likely clear waivers and stay with the organization.

The Story: Mike Trout still trails Lorenzo Cain in AL All-Star outfielder voting.
The Monkey Says: The Royals continue to stuff the ballot boxes as Salvador Perez has the most votes overall in the AL with Cain second and Mike Moustakas third. Nothing in the world makes sense anymore.

The Story: The Mike Trout and Bryce Harper connection dates back to 2011.
The Monkey Says: THEY ARE BARELY CONNECTED! SHUT UP!!!

The Story: Cory Rasmus suffered a setback in his rehab.
The Monkey Says: Too bad, the Angels could really use him right now. It doesn’t look like a major setback, but with none of the middle relievers really establishing themselves, this could be a big opportunity for Rasmus.

The Story: Kevin Jepsen got lost trying to find the visiting clubhouse at Angel Stadium.
The Monkey Says: No one ever said baseball players were geniuses.
