The February 16th, 2015 edition of Los Angeles Angels news including Angels have third-highest win over-under, confidence in deep bullpen and much more…

The Story: Oddsmakers released their team win over-unders.
The Monkey Says: They are tied for the third-highest wins line at 87.5. Mind you, Vegas odds are not actually real projections but rather figures that are cooked up to entice betting.

The Story: The Angels are confident in their deep bullpen.
The Monkey Says: They aren’t as deep as they used to be with Jepsen and Grilli gone, but the possibility of a bigger role for Cory Rasmus and shifting Hector Santiago to a relief role can make up for a lot of that. Even if this bullpen crop isn’t as good as the group that finished the 2014 for the Angels last season, they shouldn’t be the Achilles heel they were starting the 2014 season.

The Story: The Angels are ready to start the season after a winter full of trades.
The Monkey Says: It really is uncanny that they managed to not sign a single MLB free agent to their 40-man roster this offseason. The closest they came was Jeremy McBryde, but he was really a minor league free agent that was inexplicably gifted a 40-man roster spot. It was done via trade, which weakened the farm system, but also speaks to how much one can do via trades even if the farm system is weak.

The Story: Tyler Skaggs is throwing again, but wishing he could join the team for spring training.
The Monkey Says: Tyler Skaggs haz all the sads.

The Story: A look at some Angels prospects who could make their mark this season.
The Monkey Says: Let’s hope that none of them, save maybe Bedrosian, make a mark in the majors because that would mean that something went wrong on the MLB roster.
