ABOUT THE ADOPT-A-SCHOOL PROGRAM
The visit will be the second visit in the third year of the Angels Baseball Foundation’s Adopt-A-School program. Every year, the Angels will work with the Orange County Department of Education to identify five high schools and five elementary schools to adopt. The schools, selected based on need, include two schools from each level in Anaheim, one from each level in Orange, one from each level in Garden Grove and one from each level in Santa Ana. The Angels Baseball Foundation will make a donation of $1,000 to each elementary school, as well provide a school supplies pack to each child. The Angels will support the high school programs by assisting their baseball and softball programs with equipment, uniforms or field/facility renovations. Each school will also receive a donation of Angels tickets to be used as part of the school’s incentive programs. The Angels will honor a representative from each school during a pregame ceremony on May 25, 2010.
