Who is the anonymous general manager of RAW?

NFL GameDay Highlights

Over the past two weeks, we have seen Daniel Bryan take over as the host of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. But the new twist is that there is a new anonymous general manager.  There was an anonymous general manager back in 2012 that ended up being Hornswoggle. Everyone is now wondering who it could possibly be this time. I think there are two pretty good scenarios they could go with.

Last week, the anonymous general manager made a match for the upcoming Pay-Per-View Tables, Ladders and Chairs; John Cena and Seth Rollins will compete in a tables match, and if Cena loses, he will no longer be the number-one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar.

I think this general manager is plotting to have Rollins to win this match, opening up the opportunity for a new contender for the title match. As far as who the contender will be, this is where I think things could get interesting.

Lesnar, who won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam against John Cena has not made as many appearances as people would like. But his manager Paul Haymen says the presence of Lesnar should be special. If he appeared all the time on Raw, it would get boring for viewers. Therefore, they want to keep things exciting.

Lesnar defeating The Undertaker’s streak at Wrestlemania 30 was absolutely shocking and unexpected. No one expected The Undertaker to go out with a loss like that. No speech, no goodbye, but an exit open to interpretation and an opportunity for him to return.

I think if The Undertaker were the general manager, it would change the whole dynamic of the show. He could only be doing it to get that one last match that he deserves against Brock Lesnar to prove that he’s better than that last defeat.

If Cena were to lose the table’s match against Rollins, there is a place for a new number one contender, and who better than The Undertaker. There have been rumors of retirement, but I feel The Undertaker will go out with a better exit than that last loss. It would be great to see Lesnar and The Undertaker battle it out for the championship, The Undertaker wins, and then gracefully announces his retirement. And as general manager, leaving the WWE World Heavy Championship unattached and up for grabs from another superstar.

Another scenario that would be interesting to see would be if Randy Orton were the new general manager. We have seen over the past couple months that Orton has turned on The Authority. He attacked Rollins proving to everyone that he is no longer a team player for The Authority. He did not take part in the Team Authority vs. Team Cena match that made it even more evident that he is no longer wanted.

Orton and Cena are two superstars that are also known to not get along. Their feud is well known by the WWE Universe and it does not go unnoticed. However, if Cena were to find out Orton is the new general manager, he might change his mind about The Authority not being in power anymore.

It would be completely unexpected if Cena were to make a deal with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon if it meant bringing them back to take down Orton. Cena might be able to overlook his hatred for The Authority if it meant bringing them back to overpower someone he hates even more.

In my opinion, the WWE without The Authority is not the same. Their hiatus is a refreshing change because they have brought back Daniel Bryan who even responded to the question about whether he would be returning soon with his “Yes! Yes! Yes!” chant. But Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are the ultimate power couple and without them the show does not seem the same and does not have the same energy.

Either one of these storylines would be fun to see. The anonymous general manager could be someone else entirely as well. But it will be exciting to see the changes that they are going to make to the WWE and when they will announce their identity.
