Heath Bell is going to the Fish. That leaves Cordero and Madson as the two best closers still on the market. The Red Sox let Papelbon walk without an offer and missed out on Nathan and Bell. Daniel Bard could always jump into the role of closer but the team would still need to replace him as the setup man. The bullpen is going to be one of the biggest holes for Cherington and Valentine to fill in the coming months.
