Another day, another team, another loss for the ailing Ale-makers

Monday, the Braves beat the Brewers, 2-1, to hand Milwaukee their 6th consecutive loss.
Prince Fielder accounted for the only run for the Brewers, smashing his 16th roundtripper of the year in the 6th.
Both starting pitchers pitched well–only Atlanta’s Rick “I feel good” James (er, might actually be Chuck James) was a bit better: 8 K’s over 6 IP’s and just the one run. Chris Capuano fanned 6 over 7 IP, but allowed 7 hits, including a solo shot by Andruw Jones in the 4th, and the eventual winning run an inning later…Kelly Johnson hit a can of corn to Corey Hart in right, and Hart fired towards home in hopes of nailing Braves’ third baseman Bob “Watergate” Woodward (er, might actually be Chris Woodward)…first baseman Prince Fielder snared the cutoff throw and opted to get the 3rd out at third, but after Woodward had scored…the dolts at FSN Wisconsin commented that Fielder would have had Woodward at the plate, but it would have taken a perfect throw in a split second to even have a chance.
Anyway, Ben Sheets (4-3, 3.75) is supposed to start Tuesday night against Braves’ ace John Smoltz (7-2, 2.58)…fans are being asked to bring in a jar of old pickle brine to give to the ushers upon entering to ensure that Big Ben has enough to last him through the night.
