It’s like the MLB schedule maker decided that he didn’t want anyone to watch Pirate games in September, so he loaded up the schedule with Pirate/Astro games. This is the fifth game between the two teams since last Monday. It’s terribly boring.
Brad Lincoln goes for the Pirates tonight, which is at least mildly interesting. Brett Myers is pitching for the Astros. Pedro Alvarez is back in the lineup for the Pirates. First pitch is at 7:05, unless the weather is bad. It seems like the weather is bad everywhere in the Eastern part of the country today, so I’m assuming it’s bad in Pittsburgh tonight, too.
