Anthony Tolliver Agrees to One Year Deal With Charlotte

The verteran forward agrees on a one year deal.

Per Rick Bonnell, Anthony Tolliver has agreed to a one year deal with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Tolliver, 28, joins Charlotte after playing one season with the Atlanta Hawks. Going undrafted in 2007, Tolliver made the Cleveland Cavaliers roster but never played for them, instead spending the season in the Development League with the Iown Energy. Charlotte will mark the 6th NBA team Tolliver has played for and 11th team overall, having spent time in Europe, which included a stint with Turkish power Galatasaray. His best season came in 2009-10 with the Golden State Warriors, when he averaged 12.3 ppg and 7.3 rpg in 32.3 minutes per game.

For the Bobcats, Tolliver will add to an improved front court. Minutes may be limited, but he is a good defender who can defend both the 3 and 4 positions. He’s also known as a strong locker room presence, and back in 2010, hosted his own version of “The Decision,” which for some reason didn’t garner as much attention as Lebron’s.
