South Carolina backup quarterback Aramis Hillary has decided to leave the USC Gamecocks Football squad.
We wish him well as he searches for a a place get use out of his cleats beyond scout team duties. The kid has talent that is a fact, but at USC the reality is better kids stand in front of him for playing time at the QB slot.
Coach Steve Spurrier said today after practice that Hillary plans to transfer to a lower division school so he can get more playing time….App State could suit his skill set?
You may recall that he was arrested earlier this month and charged as a minor in possession of alcohol after police pulled over his brother in West Columbia. Hillary’s lawyer says he plans to ask for a jury trial.
In summary – Good kid, bad luck, going to get PTI, end up at another school and do well in life after football just wants a chance to play.
