So… how’d the Scarlet and Gray do in meeting the expectations of lowly bloggers? Pretty good, actually:
Jeff
- Ben Chappell held to under 200 yards passing- Win! Around 106 yards, and most of them toward the end of his tenure on the field.
- A RB with 100+ yards- Not this week. Sorry, Jeff.
- #100- Not only that, but #1 as well!!
Mali
- No False Starts– Wow- there were two within about six plays of each other. Sigh.
- Offensive Line Dominance- I’ll give this a “meh”. Great pass protection (against Indiana), but problems still remain in the run blocking (against Indiana!).
- Healthy Pryor– Sacked a couple of times, but nothing to freak out about.
- Touchdown Zach– Well, no. But there was an awesome moment…
- Defensive excellence– Success! Two interceptions, and Christian Bryant played well in his first start- only one brain fart that I could see.
- Big Hits- What Devon did to that kid on the screen was probably illegal.
- Big C- What’s Latin for “You betcha”?
Joe
- Jordan Hall- He got some good touches, but we didn’t see anything spectacular.
- More Christian Bryant- Like we discussed earlier, only one glitch that we were aware of- it’s going to be a good career!
- Responding to a little bit of adversity- By opening a can of Whoopin. Well done!
- No injuries/Win Turnover Battle- Double win!!
Jay
- A balanced attack on offense- Hmmmm… Still didn’t see the ground game where we’d want it. Is that because Indiana’s secondary is so poor, because we were trying to protect Terrelle, or because IU was loading the box?
- Domination in special teams- No huge returns, but also no mental lapses.
- Confidence- I don’t think this game was ever in doubt… the Buckeyes were well prepared, mentally and physically.
Eric
- The Return of Jake Stoneburner– We’ll have to wait for the unveiling at Madison…
- Terrelle Pryor unhampered by injury- He said he was sore until Saturday morning- but his arms worked.
- Control of the IU passing game- I think we’ve got a bucket of “win” for this request!
