Are You Not Entertained? Nebraska

As I wrote in the game recap, welcome back, Buckeyes.

It was an all-around great effort on both sides of the ball. We finally saw the team we had been expecting since the dismantling of Oklahoma, which seemed forever-ago.

But did we see everything we wanted?

Scott

A win: Never in doubt.

Offensive explosion: I asked for 40 or more points on the Cornhuskers, 300 in the air and 250 on the ground as well? I was dang close. Missed it by 12 rushing yards.

No false starts: Yay! I don’t recall seeing one.

Silver bullets return: A pair of picks returned for TDs and three points. Nailed that one.

WVa

Offensive onslaught: An onslaught it was. Never let up, not even with the backups in late.

Defensive dominance: One of the most dominating defensive efforts I have seen from this team in a long time. Quick off the ball, quick too the ball.

Don’t let them hang around: After OSU made it 14-3, that was it. Never threatened again.

Mike Meals

Awesome environment: According to someone who was at the Northwestern game and at the Nebraska game, it was a complete 180. An electric atmosphere. Fans were in it early and often. And they showed class with regards to Tommy Armstrong and the injury.

Ben

Contain Tommy: They contained him but unfortunately a lot had to do with the injury. Before that, he only had one decent drive anyway.

Pressure please: Neither Nebraska QB had a lot of time to do much. The Silver Bullets were all over.

Offensive identity: Please for the love of God find that early season offensive identity. Yes, we found it early and often. They were who we thought they were.
