Are You Not Entertained? EMU Edition

Just a quick follow up to our Friday requests… and no, Joe, you still didn’t get a pony.

Jeff

  • A 40+ point win- You OK with 53 points? You’re not? Man, there’s no pleasing some people…
  • No injuries- Well, no “injuries” per se, but the cramps and dings are something to be concerned about as we enter the conference season. Stoney’s high ankle sprain is something to keep an eye on, though.
  • A shutout- Fail. While Heacock likes having teaching points, and the defense needed something to light a fire under them, giving up three scores to Eastern Michigan is not something that makes us happy.

Most efficient QB on the team

Mali

  • Dominance in the running game– Nope… uh… yes… uh… Ah, the heck with it. Jim has a better perspective than I do.
  • Something Berry Special- Score!!
  • No Injuries- See above, dang it.
  • No False Starts-Nope, not even in garbage time.
  • Special Teams Touchdown– No, unfortunately. Although a blocked extra point was pretty sweet.
  • Mascot Safety-No concerns. I’m thinking Swoop probably didn’t want to get on Coach English’s bad side.
Eric
  • The Game- Partial win… freaking magnets.
  • Four passes to Stoneburner- Nay, although it was good to see the TE involved in the offense even if it wasn’t him. Shows a commitment to the position and whatnot.
  • Continued good passing from Pryor- Umm… yeah. I think Sanzo would rate this as an A+
  • A shutout- Nope. Cue the sad trombone.

Joe

  • No Injuries- Frick.
  • Improvement in the running game- If you’re a Berry or Hall fan, then “win”.
  • Only positive yardage plays- Nope, although nothing of the epic mistake genre.

Bending over backwards to meet Jay's expectations

Jay

  • Focus on the opponent at hand – I didn’t really get the impression that the Buckeyes were looking ahead- although Tressel’s gameplan may have had something to do with that.

Yeah, we thought it would be good to come in and go quick tempo…  Plus I think it helps you, sometimes you’re in a nonconference game and everyone’s talking about maybe the challenge isn’t as great as some challenges. If you’re out there and you’re just going, you don’t have time to think about anything other than execution.
