Last night, I watched the Cleveland Cavaliers dominate the New York Knicks (whose fans seem to think LeBron will be a member of in two years) from start to finish. Hey, the Knicks suck, so I expected it. Plus, some nights everything falls your way.
Tonight, I neglected to turn on the Cavs game until late in the first quarter. I was too late, the game is already over.
Midway through the second quarter now, Cleveland leads OKC 64-31. I know the Thunder are 1-13 coming in and they have no hope whatsoever….but this is still an NBA franchise and we are already playing our bench players.
As of now, LeBron has only logged 9 minutes on the floor. And the score sheet looks like this;
- Szczerbiak – 13 points
- LeBron – 10 points
- Ilgauskas – 8 points
- Mo Willimas – 7 points
- Hickson – 6 points
- Varejao – 4 points
- Gibson – 4 points
- Delonte West – 4 points
- Wallace – 3 points
- Pavlovic – 3 points
- Jackson – 2 points
ELEVEN players have already scored, and there’s two quarters left to be played.
This team is dominating the teams they should be, and it’s a beautiful sight to behold. The guys are bonding as a team, and we’re among the 3 elite teams in the league. After tonight, we’re going to be 12-3 with upcoming games against;
- Golden State (5-9)
- at Milwaukee (7-9)
- New York (7-7)
- Indiana (5-8)
- at Charlotte (4-9)
- Toronto (6-7)
- Philadelphia (7-7)
- at Philadelphia (7-7)
- at Atlanta (8-5)
- At Minnesota (3-9)
Our next ten games, and only one opponent is over .500. We could put some SERIOUS distance between ourselves and second-place Detroit (2.5 games back) in the next few weeks, if we play like this….
I’m liking this team.
