Sacramento county is offering its help in the effort to build a new downtown arena in the capital city.
“We came up with what we think is a fairly reasonable, general resolution, that acknowledges some prospective county contribution to the arena effort,” said Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna on KFBK Radio Thursday afternoon.
The county announced a proposal to share a substantial portion of $3.6 million in revenue and taxes to fund Sacramento’s arena project. The remaining money would go toward funding county parks. The profits its offering would not exist without the presence of a new downtown entertainment and sports complex.
