The arena deal has a pulse. Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson and the Maloofs sat down and discussed issues concerning the proposal to build a new entertainment and sports complex at City Hall today.
The mayor told reporters that the three-hour meeting was productive, but wouldn’t go into any further details. The two sides have agreed to meet again tomorrow.
Mayor Kevin Johnson says the sides will try to “resolve some issues and maybe narrow the gap.”

Thursday’s meeting comes just about one week after the mayor flew down to Las Vegas to re-open dialogue with Kings’ owner George Maloof at the Palms Hotel.
