The Angels continue their road trip having dropped 2 of 3 to the Mariners as the head into Kansas City for a four game series. The Halos are 5-9 over their last 14 games and have seen their AL West lead shrink from 6 to 3.5 games.

Major League Baseball has named Kendry Morales the AL Player of the Month. Congratulations to “Bam Bam”.

Steve Bisheff says the Angels were lucky on their last couple of road trips when they avoided Zack Greinke and Roy Halladay. Not so much this time as they will see Grienke in KC after having faced Seattle’s Felix Hernandez.

Jeff Miller of the OC Register writes that based on strength of schedule it could be the Angels and not the Dodgers who miss the playoffs. However, ultimately he thinks both teams make the post-season.
