Well, one goalie can be crossed off the list. Jason LaBarbera has re-signed with the Coyotes for two years at 1.25 million per season. Don’t look for LaBarbera to be the starter. He is a solid back up but no way is he starter material. Just ask King’s fans. 😉
It’s not a signing but the Coyotes have traded Bryz to Philly for a 3rd rounder and future considerations. Rumor is he was asking for 7 million per year. That is quite the jump from his current 4.25 million. Bryz is good but I don’t think he is worth 7 million. His playoff performance and off-games are evidence of that. He is either on or he’s off. There is no middle of the road for him. I’m not sure Philly will even sign him. They will need to clear some cap space. He would be a fairly solid option for Philly. He would be one of the better goalies to go through Philly in the last few years.
