Jimmer Fredette just wrapped up a media conference call, talking about playing in this week’s American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. He made the call from Los Angeles, where he is attending the 2011 ESPYs.
Highlights
- Would Jimmer play overseas? – “No, I haven’t actually thought about that. I’m focusing on trying to get ready to play in the NBA. It’s a whole different style of play and I haven’t gotten into it yet. So I’m just going to be working hard, trying to get ready for this next NBA season.”
- Jimmer said he hopes to meet Michael Jordan. The Bobcats weren’t one of the teams he worked out for during the 2011 NBA Draft process.
- If you’re wondering about his golf game, Jimmer says he’s played at least three or four times since the draft. He just wants to have fun this week and meet other celebrities.
