Let's start the (insert name of waived NBA veteran here) wants to come to Boston talk. First up: Austin Croshere.
The Bucks have requested waivers on ex-Providence star forward Austin Croshere today. It will be interesting to see if the Celtics, who have been looking for a veteran big to fill the shoes of P.J. Brown, show interest in the 6-foot-10, 240-pound veteran forward. Croshere appeared in 11 games with the Bucks and averaged 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 7 minutes per game. The 33-year-old has played in 68 career playoff games, including the 2000 NBA Finals in Indiana.
When asked if the Celtics are interested, Fegan said: "I hope they are. That's one of my first calls today. He makes a lot of sense for them. (Celtics president) Danny Ainge always told me he likes him."
I've always told women I had no intention of dating that I like them, too. Then they'd call me up and I'd be all like "ooooh… sorry…. I'd love to… but I'm (dating someone/sick tonight/shipping off to war/pledging celibacy and becoming a Shaolin monk)." But then again, I'm a super-suave internet megastar with legions of female fans and a history of breaking hearts. Well… replace "super suave" with "socially retarded". And "internet megastar" with "chat room stalker". And "legions of female fans" with "collection of Barbie dolls pulled from dumpsters".
Wait. What was I saying? Oh… Austin Croshere. Yeah… I don't want that guy.
