Avery Bradley might not be 100%

Avery Bradley might not be 100%As tough as this might be to comprehend considering what he’s able to do out there, both Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers said today that they don’t think Avery Bradley is 100% this season:

“Although he isn’t really loud, he’s very vibrant,” added Garnett. “I don’t think he’s 100 percent [healthy], which is scary. I think he’s still working through some things with his past injuries, but he’s playing hard and he’s giving us everything he has when he’s on the floor.”

I suppose it makes sense considering he only just had surgery done on both shoulders less than a year ago.  It’s just amazing to think he can do the things he’s doing in an NBA game while still feeling the after-effects of double-shoulder surgery.  Just look at the numbers Chris Forsberg put together:

Bradley is second in the league while allowing a mere 0.678 points per play, according to Synergy Sports data. Opponents are shooting a mere 30.9 percent against him and generate points a league-low 31.4 percent of possessions against him. And that only scratches the surface as Rivers often points out how his ball pressure often forces opponents into their sets late and causes rushed shots that improve Boston’s overall defensive numbers.

The Celtics went through practice today (full roundup here) with not much to report other than you can expect Doc to give the old guys some more rest in this 3-game-in-4-day stretch.  Get ready for a nice dose of the new guys… probably against Indy (or hopefully, Philly as part of a blow out).
