Don’t expect the Philadelphia 76ers to make a big splash in free agency but expect them to make some signings to fill some holes on the roster. According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, Boston Celtics free agent guard Avery Bradley has been receiving calls from the C’s and also the 76ers.
For the Sixers, possibly getting Bradley would help sure up the shooting guard position as they still lack a true starter there. Bradley, who was drafted by the Celtics in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft, has had a solid career thus far. This past season was his best year as he averaged 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 60 games.
What also makes Bradley a player of interest for the Sixers is that he can also play the point guard position. The Sixers can also use a backup point guard. Even though they traded for the likes of Pierre Jackson in the second round of the NBA Draft, having an experienced player like Bradley in this offense can do wonders.
Over his career, Avery Bradley is averaging 9.2 points, 1.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game.
