Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Sean Avery received four stitches to his upper lip after getting a stick in the face for the second time in less than two minutes during the Rangers 3-2 loss to the Red Wings.
Avery expressed frustration after the game…
“Yeah, definitely and I’ve expressed it personally,” said Avery, who was then asked if his teammates were frustrated. “Yeah, I hope they are.
“Our problem isn’t in the offensive zone,” Avery said. “Our problem is on breakdowns were having from the blue line in. We (play with) these teams and they beat us and that’s because we have breakdowns somewhere. We had breakdowns on the last two goals of the game and that’s the difference.”
…um Sean I think you’re great and everything, but the problem is the power play. Plain and simple. If it was just decent the last two games the Rangers at least get a point in both instead of fans being in complete panic mode right now.
