The Minnesota Vikings (2-2) are fresh off their bye week and are looking to keep the 5 game winning home streak alive when they face off against a downtrodden Kansas City Chiefs (1-4) at TCF Bank Stadium. The Vikings are looking to dust the dirt off their jerseys from last week’s 20-23 loss to the Denver Broncos; while the Chiefs are looking to score their second win of the season after an even closer loss of 17-18 to the Chicago Bears at home.

One of the driving forces behind the Vikings success this season has been the stellar performance of the defense. Led by S Harrison Smith, LB Anthony Barr and DE Everson Griffen, this defense currently allows the 6th fewest points per game (18.3) in the league. Griffen leads the Vikings with 3.0 sacks and Smith leads the team with 36 tackles. And Barr caught his 1st career INT and Smith grabbed his 1st INT of the season off Peyton Manning last week’s game.

And the offense has been no slouch either. The Vikings offense is a rushing game and they rank 2nd in yards per carry (4.9) in the NFL. And the leader of the run game has been RB Adrian Peterson, who leads the NFL with 93 rushing yards per game and has 3 TDs and has is now 2nd in place in franchise history for the most touchdowns. QB Teddy Bridgewater has thrown for 774 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs which has given him an 84.5 passer rating through 4 games. With his 16th career start, Bridgewater led the offense to 325 total yards and had a passer rating of 92.4, which both were the highest numbers against Denver in 2015.
