On third-and-15 at the Colts 17, Collie got behind nickel corner Nate Jones and Manning feathered a perfect pass that Collie grabbed for a 48-yard catch-and-run. A talk in the huddle set up the completion.
“Peyton came up to me and asked if I could run by him and I told him, ‘Yeah,’ ” Collie said.
“I asked him, ‘What do you think about this play?’ ” Manning said. “He’s like, ‘I like it.’ It’s the kind of feedback you like. If he says, ‘No, it’s not good,’ you’re not going to call it.”
Four plays later, Collie beat Cox for a 23-yard touchdown, sealing the victory.
