Last June the Badgers got the commitment of quarterback Austin Kafentzis, now he has a target to throw to as well. The Badgers 2nd commitment also comes from out west, as UW added 4-star tight end Kyle Penniston to the 2015 class.
Penniston, who plays for famed California high school power Mater Dei, chose the Badgers over offers from Florida State, Miami (FL), and Washington State.
According to our recruiting partners at Badger247, Penniston has been to Wisconsin a few times already since his recruitment began, and after receiving an official offer during Junior Day it didn't take long for the tight end to commit to the Badgers. UW began recruiting Penniston hard following his appearance at camp this past summer.
He is a 6'5", 232-pound tight end who is the No. 14-ranked tight end in the nation. It's an important commitment for Wisconsin, who didn't pick up a tight end in the 2014 class.
Watching film Penniston has progressed a lot and is not afraid to become a physical blocker. He does possess good speed as well, but the question is if Penniston will be more Travis Beckum or Jacob Pedersen.
Here is his tape for you to decide:
