It’s crunch time in the world of college football recruiting, and for the Wisconsin Badgers it has meant big things. With space limited and filling up fast, those who want in on the 2016 recruiting class are quickly making decisions.
One name that has been on commitment watch lately was that of 3-star Grand Prairie (Texas.) South cornerback Caesar Williams, and on Tuesday night he made it official with a commitment to the Badgers.

However, the three-star cornerback wasn’t the only one. Williams was joined in committing to the Badgers by under-the-radar Denver (Col.) East athlete Deron Harrell — who has accepted a grayshirt offer by UW.
That means Harrell will sign a national letter of intent on Feb. 2, but will not report to school until next January and won’t count towards the 85 scholarship limit until that point in time.
Both could be major components to UW’s future though, and both are certainly very good athletes.
Williams comes to Wisconsin after considering offers from Kansas State, Indiana, SMU and Wisconsin amongst his finalists. He visited the Madison campus a few weeks ago and after visiting Kansas State last weekend became a silent commitment according to our recruiting partners at Badger247.
However, the first of the two to announce was Harrell, whom 247sports and other services have not even rated at this point in time.

That is just how under the radar he is, but it is something his coach can’t believe.
Williams comes to Wisconsin as commitment No. 25 for Wisconsin and the third cornerback overall in the class of 2016. He’s the nation’s No. 138 ranked cornerback per 247sports.
UW has the No. 29-ranked class in the country and the No. 5-ranked class in the Big Ten with these two additions.
