According to Evan Flood of Badger247 Wisconsin football has added the eighth member of its 2014 class, getting a commitment from Michael Deiter, a 6'6" 300lbs. offensive lineman from Genoa, OH. He joins George Panos and Jaden Gault as committed offensive lineman in the 2014 class.

Deiter is a 3-star recruit according to the 247composite rankings and is ranked as the 49th offensive guard and 56th rated prospect in the state of Ohio for the 2014 class.
What was unique about Deiter is that this commitment was a long time coming. He wanted to commit, but the new Wisconsin staff wanted to see him work in person at camp before allowing him to commit to his offer. According to all indications he did that and more on Sunday and Monday and made his commitment during the afternoon on Monday.
Deiter is a 3-star by Scout and Rivals, but is not yet rated officially by 247sports' own rankings.
