No, we’re not talking about the reincarnation of Allen Iverson or anything crazy like that. Instead, the Badgers, who have been after high 3-star small forward Khalil Iverson, got their man on Thursday.

Our recruiting partners at Badger247 had pointed out that Iverson was getting the full-court press from the Badgers today with head coach Bo Ryan visiting him at practice along with assistants Lamont Paris and Greg Gard.
It appears that visit paid dividends in a major way. Iverson committed in short order after that visit and joins one of the more interesting classes the Badgers have ever put together.
He is the No. 323-ranked player in the country, the No. 60-ranked small forward and the No. 11-ranked player in the state of Ohio according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Iverson joins 4-star shooting guard and Wisconsin native Brevin Pritzl, along with 4-star power forward Alex Illikainen and 3-star power forward Charlie Thomas in the 2015 class.
So, what about Iverson’s game? The film available on him shows him as a slasher with a good outside shot and some work to do on the defensive end of the court — remind you of anyone? He certainly reminds me of a rawer version of current small forward Sam Dekker, just with more potential with his back to the basket.
Wisconsin will have one spot remaining in the 2015 class, and you can bet that is being held for the big fish in the Badgers’ pong — 5-star and in-state center Diamond Stone.
If the Badgers were to add both players, 247Sports projects Wisconsin’s class score to be 48.21 and good enough to move them into the top 12 in the country. As it stands, Iverson’s addition moves the Badgers up from No. 34 to No. 33 in the national rankings.
